Johannes Segogela

"Nkosi Sikelele"

Born in 1936 in Sekukuniland, South Africa, Johannes Segogela started his career relatively late in life without any formal training. His meticulously rendered small-scale wooden sculptures are often underscored by a cautionary message informed by his passionate spiritual beliefs centered on Christianity.
